It is better to get some idea about decorating the place of dwelling. Some guidelines before decorating the house are:1. For new house, walls should be kept simple so that when furniture, wall decors and accessories, are placed rooms will not look cluttered. Bright colors should be avoided. Match different styles of stuff, like contemporary furniture with oriental pieces. But they should not be blend together.
3. For making rooms bigger, use of mirror is good. They give an illusion of more space. Colors too affect the illusion of space. A monochromatic color scheme (one/similar color with different shades) like off whites, cream & beige marbles will give appearance of more space while warm colors like red and yellow will give an impression of a smaller space. While cool colors like blue and green will give an openness appearance. Using different textured marbles we can create such effects very easily.4. While choosing a new color for a wall, paint a section of the wall and observe for few days at different times. It is a good idea to paint one shade lighter than sample swatch. Always, the color on your sample will look brighter on a big wall than on a small swatch. Avoid using gloss paints. They show imperfections especially in night.
